​OVERVIEW OF DUTIES

  • Leads monthly Council meetings

  • Leads Voters' Assembly meetings

  • Advises Boards and Committees as needed

  • Signs official documents as needed

MORE ON THIS POSITION from the Christ the King Bylaws:

 

The Chairman of the congregation shall

  • Preside at all meetings of the Voting Membership. 

  • Enforce the Constitution and By-Laws of the congregation.

  • Carry out the expressed will of the congregation as embodied in the resolutions of the Voting Membership. 

  • With the exception of the Elders, all boards, committees, auxiliaries, groups, etc., in the congregation shall be responsible to the Chairman, and he or she shall be welcome at any and all meetings of such groups. 

  • Call and preside over the meeting of the Church Council.

  •  Endeavor to coordinate the functions, plans, and activities of the congregation in all its parts for the total furtherance of the work of Christ's Kingdom in our midst. 

 

The Board of Elders shall be responsible to the Chairman in an administrative sense only. The Chairman may attend meetings of the Board of Elders by their invitation or the pastor's.
