Memorial Service and Meal January 29 2022

Grieving during the pandemic

The Coronavirus Pandemic has affected not only our worship plans and schedules, and many of our regular activites, but it has also affected the way we have grieved our losses in these difficult days.  Most of us probably know someone who died in the last two years, yet for some of them there was no opportunity for us to "pay our respects" in visitations, funeral services, graveside commitals - and so receive what some call "closure."

That's not only been true of immediate families, but also of members of extended families like our congregation here at Christ the King.  Several of our Christ the King family members have died since the pandemic began, and we haven't been able to mourn a number of them in the usual way that brings the comfort and consolation of God's Word and promises to His people.

We propose to address that together with a Memorial Service and Meal in memory of our Christ the King family members, friends, and loved ones who have gone to be with the Lord since December of 2019.  Scroll down to read more - and God bless us everyone!
